Woodman V Monash Tigers

Over the weekend Carlton Blues first XI played the second day of the their two day match against the Monash Cricket Club. Scott Woodman added one to the history books, becoming just the fifth batsmen to make a century at number eight in the order. Previous players include Hetherington, who was the first in season 1908/09, Downs, Jordan and most recently Vine in season 1969/70. Woodman made the blue boys proud, knocking out 107 not out, aiding the boys to a solid win in the end. Carlton declared on 9/305 and bowled out the Monash Tigers for just 194. Well done again to Woodman for his fantastic effort with not only the ball but now, with the bat.
